Snow does fall on Mauna Kea, and the University of Hawai'i's own administrative rules for Mauna Kea lands (Hawaii Administrative Rules §20-26-39) formally acknowledge and regulate 'skiing, snowboarding, sledding and other similar winter or snow sports,' but that rule restricts and can zone off snow play across the whole summit area rather than naming any specific hill or slope, so it does not meet the bar for a hills entry here. The Hawai'i Division of State Parks' own Mauna Kea State Recreation Area page, the Division of Forestry and Wildlife's Mauna Kea Forest Reserve and Game Management Area page, and every county parks department (Hawai'i, Honolulu, Maui, Kaua'i) were checked directly and none names a sledding location anywhere in the state.
