Oregon deer seasons, 2026-27

“When does deer season open” is four questions wearing one coat. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife dates black-tailed, mule and white-tailed deer seasons separately by weapon, so each one is below under the agency’s own name for it, with the zone rows exactly as the agency lists them.

Muzzleloader season

no season

Oregon holds no separate muzzleloader deer season. ODFW's 2026 general season list carries no general muzzleloader deer season. Oregon's muzzleloader deer opportunities are controlled hunts, drawn by application and dated individually in the Big Game Regulations rather than as one statewide window. Youth deer season

no season

Oregon holds no separate youth deer season. ODFW's 2026 general season list carries no general youth deer season. Oregon runs its youth deer opportunities as controlled hunts inside the same regulations, each with its own dates, rather than as a statewide youth weekend. Zones

One calendar, one state

Oregon is one of the states that keeps it simple: Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife publishes these windows as listed above rather than splitting the state into zones with different openers. That makes the calendar easy and the sourcing no less important, because the dates still change every year.

Which unit or county you hunt can still change what you may take, even where it does not change when the season runs. That is the agency’s to tell you, and its regulations page is linked below.
