When the call comes

No later than 5:00 a.m.

“5:00 a.m. - The decision to cancel or delay school must be made no later than 5:00 a.m. in order to provide adequate notice to families and students of the District’s decision”

A 2 hour delay

On a delay morning every school starts 2 hours late.

“Delay (one-hour or two-hour) is considered when any of the following occur:”

5 built in snow days

On the 2026 to 2027 calendar, listed as “make-up days”.

“Make-up days to be used after the 10 NTI days are: May 28, June 1, 2, 3, 4”

NTI days

Kenton has Non Traditional Instruction days in its winter plan, up to 10 a year.

“10 Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) days will be utilized beginning on the 6th day schools are closed to in-person instruction.”

Making up a lost day

After the 10 NTI days, added to the end of the year starting May 28.

Make up dates: May 28, Jun 1, Jun 2, Jun 3, Jun 4.

“Make-up days to be used after the 10 NTI days are: May 28, June 1, 2, 3, 4”
